Surface Sketches And Experiments

For 1st impressions and previews of current sketches visit my Flickr photostream

After a few hours of experimenting with Eskimoblood’s Surface Library I’m impressed by the multifaceted visual output that one can achieve with some basic utilisation of the built in surfaces and their methods.
Right after gaining a first insight into the concept and approach behing It feels like a valuable source for further experiments and food for thought for the next weeks.

You can also create own classes to extend the basic surface class. Anderas provides us with a brief still helpful tutorial that describes in a few basic steps how to create own surfaces.

  1. Hi, nice to see other people working with the library. Some of your pics reminds me to the club transmediale posters by Marius Watz.

  2. Hey Andreas, at first thanks for taking this blog’s virginity… =)
Really like your surfaceLib, even if it tooks me ages to get the math behind. And true, it’s a good challenge to create somthing unique that doesn’t refer to previous or at least Marius’ works.
Discarding the centered position and rotation could become an option. I’m also working on some sketches that I would like to use for some 12″ vinyl artworks… ‘ll keep you updated.
    Take Care…
