12" Vinyl Sleve And Label Designs For London / Berlin Based Record Label Sushitech

I already started working with the guys from Sushitech in early 2007 and since then I created more than 20 Vinyl artworks for the label and it’s subdivisions. All of the three branches of the label are visually and musically following a different style and aesthetic direction ranging from pure b/w typographic compositions and handlettered / handdrawn artworks up to abstract patterns based on generative forms.

The artworks showcased in this post are featuring graphic forms that are mainly based on simple geometric shapes drawn - or better - arranged by fractal patterns.

All these compositions are generated using Processing.

I really like the look and feel of this 12″ vinyl series as it melts the digital aesthetic of the abstract generated forms with the analogue touch of the one-color-printed matt carton of the vinyl sleeves. It pretty much reflects the approach and musical direction of the label and works well as a visual correspondence of the musical / auditory output of Sushitech.
